OUR HISTORY

Elder Kennis Hutchons, Sr. and Evangelist Irma Hutchons opened the doors to a new church on the first Sunday, April 4, 1993. The Lord gave the name New Life Christian Outreach, COGIC as part of the Historic First Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction "The beginning of something wonderful". The Outreach Ministry was a tremendous work in the downtown area. God blessed many people to receive jobs, affordable housing, and most of all, the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, through New Life Outreach Ministries, COGIC.

Evangelist Irma L. Hutchons contributed mightily to the ministry. She served as the leader of the Women’s Department, an annointed prayer warrior, Sunday School teacher, and Praise and Worship leader. She feed many people through the "my neighbors" food pantry.

As the founder of New Life Christian Outreach, Elder Kennis Hutchons, Sr. is also the founder of Kingdom of God Outreach Ministries, COGIC. New Life Christian Outreach was located at 67 N. Oakland Avenue and later relocated to 3070 Joslyn Rd, Auburn Hills, MI. There, Pastor Hutchons changed the name to Kingdom of God Outreach Ministries and faithfully led the flock until his home-going on January 9, 2010.

Shortly thereafter, Bishop P. A. Brooks, prelate of Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction, assigned Elder Allen M. Gulley to be the Minister in Charge. On May 3, 2010, Bishop Brooks appointed Elder Gulley as the new pastor.
